Making an Impact

The latest issue of the University's flagship research and innovation magazine Impact has been published and is also available online.

Issue 6 takes a closer look at a range of research projects, including; the need for evidence-based policy making, new approaches to fuel security, how the University's expertise in psychology and organisational change is helping Rolls Royce accelerate the development of low carbon aircraft technology and much more.

Speaking about the launch of the latest edition of Impact, acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research & Innovation Professor Edward Spiers, said: "It is more important than ever to demonstrate how the work taking place at the university impacts on the world around us. Impact provides an excellent vehicle to showcase the global impact of our work in a number of vital sectors, including; energy; medical technology; food and nutrition; social care and professional and financial services to a wider audience, including business and industry, research funders, policy makers and the wider public."
