Why do we call it the Spanish guitar?

Guitarist Tom Sitton is returning to the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery on Saturday 13 August to share his passion for music with visitors to the Gallery's Carlos Nadal exhibition.

Tom will give a short talk and demonstration exploring the identity and idiosyncracies of the Spanish guitar, followed by a solo recital.

Leave your troubles at the door for an afternoon and become immersed in Tom's virtuosic and heartfelt playing, surrounded by Nadal's inspriational art.

Tom has worked all over the world as a performer, composer and artistic director. Having played for three royal families and written for contemporary dance and theatre companies in three different continents, he is most at home on stage  - be it a festival, concert hall or underground club. He has led the National Youth Guitar Ensemble, been invited to play with the European Guitar Ensemble, played on BBC Radio and praised in the national press.

The talk and recital begin at 3pm and are free.  All are welcome.
