Research methods workshop

A workshop on carrying out qualitative longitudinal research - used to reveal how change is created, lived and experienced over a period of time - is being held in University House on 17 October 2011.

The training day will cover:

  • generating and managing data using qualitative longitudinal (QL) methods
  • ways in which time can be used in social research
  • secondary analysis strategies

There will be a choice of practical sessions, including an IT workshop using the Timescapes Data Archive and sessions on sampling and secondary analysis.

There will also be a masterclass for those already carrying out QL research and wanting further training in very specific aspects of it.

For further details of the workshop and an application form, go to the School of Sociology & Social Policy events webpage.
