European Union conference open for registration

A Centre for European Law and Legal Studies conference - "The European Union's economic and social model - still viable in a global crisis?" - is open for registration and submission of papers.

The conference, which will take place on 8-9 December 2011, will consider:

  • the tensions between the social and economic elements of European integration
  • the global impact of the EU social and economic model
  • the impact of the global financial crisis on the EU model

The conference is one of a series celebrating the move of the School of Law to its new home in The Liberty Building in January 2011.  It will be the platform for the launch of a new book on "European Economic and Social Constitutionalism".

For more information about the conference, including a provisional programme, and to book a place, see the School of Law website.
