A fan of colours
Margaret Chalmers will lead a fan-making workshop, inspired by Carlos Nadal's colourful Catalan souvenir fan, at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery on Saturday 23 July.
Margaret, from the University of Leeds International Textile Archive, will guide participants in making and decorating their own version of this elegant summer accessory.
While you are becoming an expert in this ancient art, children are welcome to join in and learn how to make simple paper fans and decorate them with glitter, feathers and shiny things!
