Mr Michael (Mick) Faulkner
We are very sorry to have to let colleagues know that Mr Michael (Mick) Faulkner, former Assistant Plumbing Supervisor in Estates Services, died on 5 July 2011.
Mick Faulkner obtained City and Guilds qualifications at the Leeds College of Building between 1974 and 1977. In the latter year, he took up an appointment here as a Maintenance Craftworker (Plumber) and went on to prove himself a capable and competent colleague. He resigned from his post in 1988 but resumed his service with the University in the following year. In 2005, he successfully applied for the post of Chargehand Plumber. Mick Faulkner left the University in 2008.
The funeral will take place at 11am today (Wednesday 20 July), at Armley Hill Top Cemetery, Greenhill Road, Leeds LS12 3PZ.
In memory of Michael Faulkner, the flag will be lowered to half-mast on the Parkinson Building on the morning of the funeral.
