Black and minority ethnic (BME) staff network

To support the University's commitment to equality, access and inclusion for all staff, a meeting has been arranged on 27 July to discuss the development of a black and minority ethnic staff network.

The meeting will take place:

On:  Wednesday 27 July

At:   12.30-2.00pm

In:   The Staff Centre Lounge

Refreshments will be available, but please feel free to bring your lunch with you.

This initial meeting, co-ordinated by Maria Pervaiz of the Equality Service and Jo Westerman of the LOGIK Centre, will explore the idea of a black and minority ethnic (BME) staff network and what its membership, terms of reference and agenda might be.

A BME network could provide opportunities to:

  • contribute to the development of University policies and good practice
  • be consulted and engaged with core University activities
  • network, share experiences and receive support

To confirm your attendance or for further information, email the Equality Service.

Please note: further events are being organised to establish similar networks for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) staff and for disabled staff.  To register your interest in these, please email the Equality Service.
