Interruptions to staff email (26 and 27/7/11)

There will be some interruptions to staff email between 7pm and 9.30pm on Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 July.

ISS will be upgrading the staff email servers at the end of July.  On the evening your email server is upgraded the service will not be available.  The planned schedule of work is as follows:

Tuesday 26 July, 7-9pm - Hermes 7
This will affect users from Academic Services, Arts, FBS, CEA and PVAC.

Tuesday 26 July, 7-9pm - Hermes 9
This will affect users from Medicine, Residential & Commercial Services, LUU, CJH and Yorks Universities Ltd

Wednesday 27 July, 7-9pm - Hermes 10
This will affect ALL users in Central Administration

Wednesday 27 July, 9-9.30pm - Hermes 8
Upgrade to the anti-virus software only.  This will affect users from MAPS, EARTH, ESSL, Engineering, Estates, and LUBS.

During these times, email access will be unavailable or at risk.  Mail will continue to be delivered and queued until the server has been brought back online.  ISS apologises for any inconvenience this may cause, but the upgrades are essential.
