Leeds University Union wins gold

Leeds University Union has been awarded Gold status under the new Students' Union Evaluation Initiative (SUEI) Level 2 criteria, a huge improvement on its previous SUEI Level 1 Gold Award.

The award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of students, staff and volunteers over the last 18 months.  As one of the first unions assessed under the new and more rigorous SUEI criteria, LUU is delighted with the result.  Only three students' unions have been awarded gold at level 2 so far.

Leeds University Union's Communications and Internal Affairs Officer, and Chair of the Board of Trustees, Mark Sewards said, "This award is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work of all members of LUU.  It also illustrates the importance that the Union places on continual improvement and innovation".

Leeds University Union's Chief Executive Aidan Grills said, "I am hugely proud of the students, staff and volunteers who make Leeds University Union such an inspiring organisation.  Achieving Gold standard under SUEI Level 2 is a fantastic reflection of their hard work and dedication."
