x-change 2011 – volunteers needed!

The British Science Association is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help run x-change at the British Science Festival in Bradford from 10-15 September.

x-change is a relaxed, informal round-up of the day's talks, events and workshops and it's all brought together with the help of a team of volunteers.

It's a great opportunity to get experience planning and running public engagement events, meeting speakers and networking with some of the UK's top science communicators.

Successful applicants will be organised, hard working and creative and, most importantly, be enthusiastic and passionate about science and good public engagement. It's ideal for anybody interested in a career in science communication and volunteers will receive training, room and board at the Festival and travel costs.

More information and details of how to apply can be found on the x-change webpages and the Festival pages of the British Science Association's website.

Applications to join the x-change team close on 1 August 2011.
