Joint UCU and University joint statement: Section 189 case
This statement has been jointly prepared and agreed by UCU and University of Leeds following the settlement of employment tribunal claims brought by UCU against the University:
Both parties have now agreed to settle the claims about collective consultation without admission of liability by the University. The University has also, since these claims were lodged, implemented changes to its procedures for collective consultation on the proposed termination of fixed term contracts and it hereby restates its continuing commitment to consultation with UCU on all potential redundancy dismissals.
