Open day travel arrangements

The University will be holding open days for prospective students on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 June. There will be major roadworks in Leeds on Saturday which will affect travel on that day.

The campus is expected to host a large number of visitors on both days and staff are requested, if at all possible, not to bring cars onto the campus so that we can offer as much car-parking space to visitors who need it as possible.

If you are planning to come to the University by car on Saturday 25 June, please remember that Leeds City Council is planning road works on Leeds' inner ring road A58M, which will cause significant delays for visitors and staff travelling that day.  Please make sure you allow plenty of time to arrive on campus before our visitors.

The University has worked with Leeds City Council to devise an alternative route through the city centre avoiding the roadworks, although traffic is still likely to be slow.  See the open day website for more details.

All prospective students who have registered for the Saturday open day have been emailed to warn them of the potential delays and to advise them to come by train if possible.  However, some visitors may still arrive late and be a little disgruntled by their journey.

In the meantime, thank you to all who have worked hard to prepare for the open days.
