Arts, humanities and the commercial sector

A series of individual surgeries on linking research in the arts and humanities with the commercial sector are taking place in July for staff in the Faculties of Arts and PVAC.

The sessions are intended to help staff in those faculties to see how their contacts in the commercial sector and commercial opportunities and ideas can be developed. Consultants from the Cultural Industries Development Agency are coming in to help run the surgeries.

Individuals or groups of researchers will have the opportunity to spend up to 90 minutes discussing their ideas for working with the commercial sector. The ideas can be at a very early stage, with no formulated plan of how to make it happen, or more advanced. The sessions could help to support work on research impact and explore potential new funding sources.

The surgeries will take place in Room 3 of the Leeds Humanities Research Institute (with the exception of the first surgery), on:

4 July,   2-5pm (venue to be confirmed)
5 July,   9.30am-5pm
6 July,   9.30am-5pm
11 July, 9.30am-5pm
12 July, 9.30am-5pm
