Tales from the South

The Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery will be entertaining old and young alike this week as part of its exhibition of Carlos Nadal's paintings from Yorkshire collections.

On Saturday 18 June from 2-4pm, Martha Sinclair will weave her magic yarns with stories from the sunny Mediterranean, surrounded by the warm and vibrant colours of Nadal's paintings.

On Wednesday 22 June at 6pm, Dr Angel Smith, Reader in Modern Spanish History at the University, will talk about "Carlos Nadal: Between Brussels and Barcelona", exploring regionalism and Catalonian nationalism reflected in Nadal's work.  Refreshments will be available from 5.30pm.

Both events are free and no prior booking is necessary.
