Business School hosts world-class scholar

Leeds University Business School recently hosted a high-profile, world-class scholar from Georgia State University, Professor Tamer Cavusgil.

Professor Cavusgil is known for his substantial and sustained contributions to the fields of international business and global marketing. He has published many books and learned articles, and his work is among the most cited contributions in international business.

To coincide with Professor Cavusgil's visit the divisions of Management and International Business, led by Dr Vassiliki Bamiatzi, organised a workshop on Management, Entrepreneurship and International Business. This enables participants to learn, present, discuss and exchange ideas with peers from different areas on the subject of The role of Management and Entrepreneurship in the International Arena. 

"The workshop was a complete success," says Dr Bamiatzi. "We had 28 participants, involved into a fruitful, productive discussion. Professor Cavusgil opened the workshop with an inspiring presentation on the Pressing Issues in International Marketing and Business Scholarship & Observations on Entrepreneurship in Emerging Markets and provided invaluable comments and advice."
