Professor John Fisher appointed to EPSRC council
Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor John Fisher has been appointed to the Council of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for a period of four years from 1 April 2011.
Council is the EPSRC's senior decision making body and is responsible for determining its policy, priorities and strategy.
Members of Council are appointed by the Minister for Universities and Science, David Willetts, and are drawn from both the academic and industrial communities. Membership is reviewed each year.
