Award-winning drama "Click" at stage@leeds
Jan Perry's award-winning drama "Click" is to be performed in the Alec Clegg Studio at stage@leeds this week.
Written in 2010 for the MA in Writing for Performance and Publication, "Click" lays bare a life warped by maternal ambition. An elderly woman, Nell, recalls her youth. The play is a dark drama blending Nell's memories of times past with songs, social commentary and women's issues.
It won the Windsor Marriott Award for New Drama Writing, judged by Jenny Seagrove, actor, and John Adams, co-founder of the Paines Plough theatre company.
