Emeritus Professor Peter Young
Members will be very sorry to learn of the death, on 14 April 2011, of Emeritus Professor Peter Young, former Professor and Head of the Department of Mining and Mineral Engineering.
Professor Young came to Leeds in 1968 and retired in 1990.
The funeral service is to take place in Lincoln Cathedral, at 2pm on Thursday, 12 May 2011. There will be a private interment on the following day.
In Professor Young's memory, the flag will be flown at half-mast on the Parkinson Building next Thursday.
