"Crack Capitalism" - Leverhulme lecture to be given by Professor John Holloway

Professor John Holloway, of the University of Puebla, Mexico, and Visiting Professor in the School of Geography, is to examine the grip of capitalism on humanity in a lecture on 11 May.

Professor Holloway is an internationally renowned expert on Marxist theory and the author of "Zapatista! Rethinking Revolution in Mexico" (1998), "Open Marxism: Emancipating Marx" (1995), and "Change the World Without Taking Power" (2002), all of which have had a significant influence on thinking around social movements, particularly in Latin America.

His lecture will be based on his recently published book, "Crack Capitalism", which has already been translated into nine languages.

The lecture, which is free and open to everyone, will take place:
