New blog post: Government cage-rattling

Coalition ministers are getting restless about the number of universities setting the maximum tuition fee.

They have recently started to 'rattle our cage' about the overall affordability (to government) of the new graduate contribution scheme for higher education. 

The Vice-Chancellor responds to government criticism of tuition fee levels and urges all concerned to focus on getting the message across to prospective students that a university education is affordable.

The Vice-Chancellor took take part in an interview followed by a live TV studio debate discussing the future of higher education, fees and funding, which was broadcast on Channel 4 news at 7pm, Tuesday 19 April.
