Leeds for Life funds available

Funding of up to £5,000 is now available for projects aimed at helping students to develop the skills promoted through Leeds for Life. Up to seven projects can be funded.

Schools and services are invited to submit project proposals and bids for funding.

Leeds for Life stresses the value to students of developing their skills as part of their overall University experience. Opportunities to do so are provided both by academic departments and by a wide range of co-curricular activities run by staff and student organisations.

In order to broaden the range of opportunities available, a small amount of funding is now available. The funding is provided by the Alumni Annual Fund, supported by donations from former students, Friends of the University, and the University's Academic Development Fund.

Project proposals are welcome from schools and services and from all categories of staff, staff/student groups, and student-led organisations.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 1 June 2011.
