Entrepreneurship Award for Paul Chatterton

Paul Chatterton (School of Geography) has won a 2010 UnLtd Level 2 Higher Education Social Entrepreneurship Award funded through the Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF).

Paul, who is a Reader in Cities and Social Change, is just one of 20 people to win the national award. It recognises his role as founder member and secretary of the Low Impact Living Affordable Community (LILAC), a pioneering cohousing project in west Leeds.

Paul is one of the future residents of the project, which begins construction later this year to create the UK's first low impact, affordable cohousing neighbourhood made from strawbales!

The LILAC website has more information.
