Healthy Week 2011

The 5th annual Healthy Week starts today and an exciting programme of activities promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle is available.

Healthy Week focuses on providing opportunities for a balanced lifestyle and overcoming barriers to being healthy, with almost a hundred activities for staff and students, spread throughout the day and evening. Activities include zumba - a dance-based fitness workout - a free gym session, go-karting and much more.

On Wednesday 2 February there is a Healthy Week Fair taking place between 11:30 and 15:00 in the Function room (level 9) of the Staff centre building. There will be several stalls selling a variety of items, and the chaplaincy will be giving away free fruit skewers and offering reflection pieces for staff members to take away as part of their 'Fruit of the Spirit' promotion during healthy week. They will also be raising money for Comic Relief with a tombola.

The fair is limited to University staff members. Confirm your attendance in advance and bring your voucher to the event to be entered in to a free prize draw - please email staffcentre@leeds.ac.uk to confirm your attendance.

Please support this campus-wide initiative and take part. You can find more information on events and activities taking place throughout the week on the Healthy week website
