Online resources to support the teaching of academic skills

Would you like to find out about new resources to support the teaching of academic skills?

If you provide (or are looking to develop) academic skills opportunities within your curriculum, join us at the launch of the Skills@Library lecturer pages on Thursday 16 December 2010.

Skills@Library staff work across the University designing and delivering modules, skills workshops and one-off activities to help students improve their reading, writing, critical thinking and digital literacy skills. Our lecturer pages will provide tutors with a bank of ready-made PowerPoint slides, lesson plans, classroom and online activities to adapt and reuse in their own teaching.

We will demonstrate these new resources and give you a chance to explore them at the launch event on Thursday 16 December between 12.00 and 14.00 at Skills@Library, 15 Blenheim Terrace. Lunch will be provided.

If you would like to attend, please email skills@library.leeds.ac.uk as places are limited.
