Children in Need

Today (19/11/10) is Children in Need and there have been a number of fundraising events happening across campus during the week.

Leeds Student Radio held a 24-hour lock in from 17 to 18 November and Leeds Student Television will be broadcasting for seven hours from the Leeds University Union foyer. Leeds students have also put together a song and video called 'They Need Our Help (Give a Pound)' to help raise funds for the charity.

The Staff Centre has been holding a book sale all week. Books have been donated by staff and are being sold for 50p with all proceeds going to Children in Need.

The Edge have a number of activities planned including a raffle, Spinathon and fancy dress classes. For more information visit the Edge website and Facebook page.

Today you can give to this great cause by visiting the book sale at the Staff Centre or put money in the fundraising buckets by the tills in the Essentials store inside the Union building.

You can also contribute by going along to the Staff Centre Christmas Fair on 1 December, 11.30-1500. As well as a wide range of craft and gift stalls, there will also be a tombola raising money for the charity.
