Student showcase aims to inspire

Touch sensitive inks, dealing with a runny nose and electronic printed textiles are three of the topics that will be discussed at a Student Showcase being organised by the department of Colour Science

The showcase, which is being organised with WROCCA (the West Riding section of the Oil & Colour Chemists' Association), is open to everyone and pupils from several local schools will be in attendance.  Five postgraduate students and Dr Mark Heron from Colour Science will each give a 20-minute talk on their respective research topic, with the aim of inspiring young people and making them aware of the relevance of science in everyday life.

The free event takes place this Wednesday (17 November) from 1600-1800 at Lecture Theatre D in the School of Chemistry.  If you would like to attend please contact Algy Kazlauciunas on 32939.
