Leeds monopolises Yorkshire Enterprise Fellows

The University has performed extremely well with the – now closed - Yorkshire Enterprise Fellowship programme having secured 19 of the 60 fellowships.

This was a 90% success rate and a total that accounts for 29% of the total awards.

The Yorkshire Enterprise Fellowship (YEF) is designed to help university researchers create a business based on their research. Building on the highly successful Bioscience Yorkshire Enterprise Fellowship scheme launched in 2004, this new initiative from Yorkshire Forward delivers practical support to commercialise ideas and research findings from the region's Universities.

Enterprising Leeds scientist from Engeinering, Biological Sciences, MAPS and Medicine and Health moved quickly to ensure that the University got maximum value from this exciting scheme.
