Exploring beliefs and behaviour for hearing

I am a student at the Institute of Psychological Sciences under the supervision of Dr Rebecca Lawton and Professor Mark Conner, conducting research as part of my MSc in Psychological Approaches to Health. This research is supported by The Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID) and has received ethical approval from the Institute's Ethics Committee.

I am looking to recruit University of Leeds staff and students to take part in research exploring beliefs and behaviours concerning hearing impairment. You will be required to complete two online questionnaires, which together should take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. You will also have the option of taking an online hearing check which will indicate whether your hearing is within or below the normal hearing range, and be offered guidance concerning any future action you should take. As the hearing check is not intended for people with known hearing loss, or who currently use hearing aids, you will not be able to participate in this study if either of these applies to you.

If you think that you may be interested in taking part in this research and would like more information or to access the online questionnaire go to the website.

Thank you very much for your interest in this study.
