The Sunday Times university league table

Overall, Leeds has moved up two places to 24th place in this year's Sunday Times University Guide.

Leeds has also moved up within the Russell Group, and is 15th amongst Russell Group institutions compared to 17th in 2008.

The Sunday Times league table of UK universities and university colleges is compiled using data from the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), the National Student Survey, the national funding councils, head teachers, peers and the 122 institutions themselves.

The table is available online

Within the Russell Group, there have generally been only minor changes in position since last year. The most significant changes in position are for Glasgow (rise of 9); Bristol (rise of 6), Birmingham and King's (rises of 4); Cardiff (fall of 7); LSE, Manchester, Queen's Belfast (falls of 5).
