Changes to equipment in central teaching space

From September 2010, video cassette recorders (VCRs) will only be available in approximately 50% of all central teaching space.

From September 2011, only a small number of rooms will have VCRs installed. It is becoming increasingly difficult to source this equipment. DVD playback will continue to be available in all rooms, either by using a DVD player or the installed PC.

If teaching staff require a VCR from September 2010 they will need to specifically request one when booking a room. VCRs will be available in a wide selection of rooms across campus during the academic year 2010-2011 however it is recommended that teaching staff begin to transfer their material to an alternative medium if at all possible.
