JISC 4/08 invites eLearning project bids

Funds of up to £50,000 for projects of one year duration are available.

"JISC wishes to fund one year projects and activities that fit with the vision, outcomes and principles of the JISC e-Learning and support innovative approaches to learning and teaching. This is an open call, and projects dealing with any aspect of e-learning are welcomed."

Only one proposal can be submitted by the University and this will be selected by the Blended Learning Futures Group according to the following procedure:

Draft proposals, using the form provided by JISC (see link, below) must be sent to David Gardner (d.gardner@leeds.ac.uk), in the Learning and Teaching Support Office, by noon on Wednesday 31st March.

Although the JISC timeframe does not allow the complete University approval process to run according to the guidelines, paras 2 (advice on potential impact on central IT systems or services) and 8 (requirement for full economic costing to be approved by your Faculty or Service Finance Manager) of those guidelines will apply and should be addressed in the covering note required by para 9c, which must accompany your draft proposal.

The successful proposal will be confirmed by Thursday 8th April to allow time for it to be worked up into a finished proposal.
