Leeds students Patric Lemagnen, James Bullock, Tom Mortimore, Charlie Clendon, Richard Allnatt, Henry Wallace-Jones and Keiran Duignan have won first prize in Ernst & Young's Profitunity.

They finished the competition strongly (ending with profits of £2,300), getting selected to appear in the final in London, where the overall winner was determined via a 15-minute pitch to a panel of professionals, including Lord Young. Their venture, SugarRush, was deemed the most viable business.

Profitunity! is about turning an idea into money-making reality, helping people who need a break in life (profits go to the Prince's Trust) whilst learning from experts about businesses and how they really work.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor for enterprise, knowledge transfer and international Professor Richard Williams said: "I am delighted for these students as they won the 'Big Challenge' internal competition which we supported with the new Student Enterprise Society last year."
