Preferred supplier status for Weetwood Hall

Weetwood Hall Conference Centre and Hotel has been given preferred supplier status by the University, making it an even more attractive choice for staff seeking conference or hotel facilities.

"As well as a new reduced pricing strategy for accommodation, conferences and dining, the preferred supplier status means that events can be placed directly with the hotel rather that going through the process of obtaining several quotes," explains Tim Brannon, Head of Procurement.

"As a subsidiary company of the University, Weetwood Hall annually gift aids a proportion of its profits back to the University. This arrangement has benefitted us by some £2.5 million during the last five years. Particularly in the current economic climate, it makes sense for staff to use Weetwood Hall's really excellent facilities and effectively keep business within the University."

Weetwood Hall runs regular familiarisation lunches for University staff, to show them the full range of facilities and services the hotel offers. For more details, go to www.weetwood.co.uk/universitylunch

A 10% staff discount is also available in all of the hotel's three restaurants, and individuals can take advantage of reduced room rates. This year, the hotel has some exclusive offers for staff wishing to book parties or events during the festive season.
