Consultation on proposed changes to PAS

What is happening to PAS?

The University is proposing changes to the scheme. The changes will keep PAS benefits broadly in line with USS benefits so that all staff will have had the opportunity to have similar pension entitlements. They keep our pension arrangements very competitive with those on offer in other universities.

When is this happening?

The University proposes to introduce the changes to the scheme from 1 January 2013. The proposals are being put to affected employees and their trades union representatives for comment. The consultation will run from 1 August 2012 until 31 October 2012.

What do I need to do?

You don't have to do anything, but the University is encouraging all staff affected by the changes to attend a roadshow, ask questions and feedback comments on the proposals.
