Value of research awards up by 41%

In 2009/10 947 new awards were received with a total value of £151.7m. This is an increase of 58 awards compared to last year and an increase of 41% in value - our highest ever value of new awards.

Don't forget. the staff festival, 3 September, 3 - 7pm

Enter the staff photo competition by 10 August

The deadline for the staff festival photo competition is 5pm on Tuesday 10 August, so get your camera ready and get snapping. This year's theme is 'home-grown' at the University. LUU book shop closure

Open day in September

After two successful open days in June, the University will open its doors once again to potential undergraduates on Thursday 9 September. Campus will be very busy, as we're expecting around 10,000 visitors.

Online IT courses

The IT Training Unit has launched a range of Microsoft e-learning courses. These self-paced courses are free to all University staff and cover Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
