For Staff

MOOCs and FutureLearn

Students from the UK and around the world will soon have free access to new online education resources generated by the University of Leeds and its partners.

The content will be delivered through what are known as Massively Open Online Courses, or MOOCs, bringing together a range of free, open, online resources from leading UK universities, in clear, simple to use and accessible ways.

FutureLearn Ltd, an entirely new company being launched by The Open University (OU), will run MOOCs featuring content from Leeds and other leading universities and partners.  Read more about FutureLearn.

Below are a series of resources for staff which will provide a background to the University’s engagement with FutureLearn and MOOCs.  For more information please contact futurelearn@leeds.ac.uk or visit the University's online learning webpages.

Staff are encouraged to review the presentation and to complete an initial course enquiry form in conjunction with their colleagues and managers for consideration by the FutureLearn Steering Group.
