School of Psychology

Adults aged 40-80 years needed for Neuroimaging Study. Participants to attend 2 sessions (1hr each) and receive £10 Amazon voucher.

Participants will be required to visit the Brain and Behaviour lab in the School of Psychology on two occasions - 1 hour per session. Participants will perform some basic computer tasks e.g. learning a sequence of dots, whilst wearing a fNIRS neuroimaging swimming-cap like device. Participants will also receive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation - a non-invasive technique used widely for research and medical purposes to investigate brain activity. The results of this project will inform research investigating ageing and dementia. Eligibility: - Healthy adults aged between 40-80 years - Right-handed - Not bilingual - No personal history of epilepsy £10 Amazon voucher to be received on completion of the study.
