This study investigates how listeners judge the speed of speech. 45mins, £5 paid.
Participants are wanted for a simple listening experiment, which aims to investigate how speech tempo is perceived.
This research is led by Dr Leendert Plug (Linguistics and Phonetics). This will involve a one-time, individual computer task, where you will judge the speed of recorded speech, heard over headphones. It will take around 45 minutes.
In order to participate, you must:
- be a native UK English speaker
- have grown up in a monolingual household
- have (had) no known speaking or hearing impairment
- be between 18 and 35 years old
