What activities are appropriate after a hip replacement? I am looking to recruit healthy participants, between the ages of 60 and 80, to complete a number of daily tasks to determine this.

Participants must be aged between 60 and 80 and able to complete day to day activities without pain or discomfort. People with injuries or diagnosed medical conditions that will affect their normal walking style will be unable to take part. People with allergies to alcohol gel or adhesives in tape will be unable to take part.

Participants will need to attend the lab at the University of Leeds for approximately two hours. Cycling shorts will need to be worn and reflective markers will be attached to the skin.

You will complete tasks including walking, sitting/standing, walking up and down a ramp, cycling, lunging and a golf swing. Each task will last approximately 10 seconds and will be repeated between 3 and 5 times. There will be plenty of time to rest between activities.
