School of Psychology

We are recruiting participants who exercise 1 day or less per week for a study examining the role of physical activity status in the relationship between breakfast consumption and mood.

We are looking for volunteers who:

  • exercise 1 day or less per week
  • are aged between 18 – 55 years
  • don’t smoke
  • have a BMI between 20.0 – 29.9 kg/m2

Volunteers will be required to:

  • attend one morning session where you will complete a health assessment, including body composition, metabolic rate, exercise capacity and a blood sample. This session will take approximately 2 hours.
  • attend the research unit on two days to consume your breakfast and lunch – all food will be provided. You will be free to leave the research unit between meals. You will also be asked to complete ratings of appetite and mood in between those meals.
  • wear 2 motion sensors for 7 days in between the two meal days.

All sessions will take place in the Human Appetite Research Unit in the School of Psychology.

On completion of all sessions you will receive £30 for your participation.

If you would like more information about the project, please contact Kristine for the participant information sheet.

If you are interested in taking part, please complete a brief online screening questionnaire.
