Want to lower your cholesterol? Our research could help - and you get to eat pancakes!
Men and women aged 18-80 years, non-smokers, and not taking medication for high cholesterol are invited to eat 2 ready-made pancakes every day for 4 weeks.
Volunteers need to have either raised total cholesterol or triglycerides, or low HDL-cholesterol to take part.
Step 1: By email or telephone, complete a 5 minute questionnaire about your health and lifestyle.
Step 2: Come in to the department to have your height, weight, waist circumference and blood pressure measured. We will take some blood to measure cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose.
Step 3: Complete some questionnaires and collect the pancakes.
Step 4: Eat 2 pancakes every day for 4 weeks.
Step 5: Return to the department for final body measurements and blood sample collection.
